About Us
Foxborough Riding Club was the first riding club to be established in Ireland in 1970. The name Foxborough comes from the house name of one of the original founders Esther de Groot who lived at “Foxborough”, Kilmurray, Glen of the Downs, Co Wicklow. Many of the events in the first years were held at Foxborough.
Foxborough is one of the few clubs not controlled by a riding school or livery yard and for that reason can offer its members a great variety of venues for their events and absolute autonomy in the direction and scope of club activities. Many of the events are held at Dragonhold stables.
